Message from Brooke: We're looking for single women for our relationship show audience. The show is about finding love and the question, why am I still single, hosted by Lisa Nichols, one of the teachers of "The Secret" who has been on Oprah to discuss it and toured the world to enlighten people. She's truly great at what she does and will mostly interact with the studio audience which is why we want more singles present. We will be taping at Victory Studios which is located at 1840 S. Victory Blvd., Glendale, CA 91201. The show will not be airing as it is a part of the pilot we are putting together. Thanks so much!

ITS: Jenny B to Be Married!

During my favorite Saturday habit (eyebrow shaping, then Sprinkles cupcake), I caught up with Jenny B, eyebrow diva at Chroma in Beverly Hills, who surprised me with the announcement she's getting married in October! I was thrilled to hear to her good news after years of listening to her stories of failed relationships and dating disasters.
She's doing the deed one year and nine days after their first date. Who's the lucky fellow? A guy from her gym!
She told me that once you meet the right man, it all falls into place rather easily. It's a mostly a matter of timing. The great part is that she's exactly the same person I met years ago, not a supermodel, not perky perfection, but a true single gal living in Los Angeles and looking for love.
Congrats to Jenny B! She kept on dating until she met her matching sock and that's truly an Inspirational True Story.

May Meeting Notes - Lisa Shield, Transformational Life & Relationship Coach

Thank you so much to K for hosting in her sunny home in Santa Monica. Always the professional event planner that she is, she had lots of tasty treats including cheese soaked in wine and a frittata that rocked! Many thanks also to those who brought snacks, especially G's homemade brownies and A's cupcakes.
Our guest speaker, Lisa Shield, is a relationship coach who lingered for 13 years in a bad relationship then went on 100 dates in 2 years. The result? She met a good man who became her husband two years later and now they share a beautiful home with two dogs. I've met him and he's truly lovely!
Lisa believes that one of the keys to successful dating is to recognize your patterns in choosing men and break the ones that lead you down the wrong path. Another is to seek someone with the same value system as yours so it is wise to be self-aware of what your values are.
