Our April guest speaker Claire will discuss Katherine Woodward Thomas' Los Angeles Times bestseller, "Calling in 'The One': 7 Weeks to Attract the Love of Your Life".
I'm happy to add that she is to be a June bride this year and will share her story of how she met her fiance. She is currently writing a new book with Katherine and is the Director of the Rosewood Center.

March Meeting Notes: Newlywed Cindy Lu's 4MP

Thank you very much to D. for hosting and making her yummy spring rolls! S. won the dating wish raffle to celebrate Sock Club’s Birthday #2 plus everyone received goody envelopes from the February singles party.
Our guest speaker Cindy brought copies of her book, “The Four Man Plan”, and 4MP coach Lucy. (Cindy left me 5 copies of her book so if you want one, let me know. They are $20 each.)
Both Cindy and Lucy used the Plan to meet their men. The Plan includes postulates, such as “You Suck at Love”, and principles such as “Be a Chick’s Chick”. As a reformed “slutty” girl, Cindy explained that the Plan helped her slow down the dating process so that she could find a man who was honest, willing, and loving. In fact, her husband Earl wasn’t what she thought she wanted, but he won her over. All men in the Plan are categorized by what stage of dating they’re at. For example, any man who gets to a third date with you is considered a Half Man and he’s informed that you are dating others as well. Lucy added that you must be willing to receive gifts and compliments from suitors. Cindy advised dating someone at least twice. Blaming our society's disposable mentality, she believes that singles are quick to toss other singles away before giving them a chance.
Last week I watched Cindy's Vegas wedding via my computer at work and it was a touching ceremony indeed. Congratulations to her and Earl! I'm really happy she practiced "slow-dating" and found a man who loves and treasures her.
